Chisula Chambers

Chisula Chambers, M.P.H., B.S.N., R.N. is an American-born critical care nurse by trade. Chisula has been in nursing for over 20 years, practicing the core values of quality, compassion, respect, dignity, and equity. One notable project reflective of this work is her new curriculum on Justice Equity Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI), calling nurses to action in anti-racism. In 2018, Miss Chambers took her years of field experience and returned to the classroom. As faculty of the Africana Studies department at Eastern Washington University, she has developed and taught courses to instill those values into future professionals. She is creating a curriculum for accessible nursing training and establishing herself as a Director of Nurse Programing for Nurse Staffing Solutions PLLC. Outside work, Miss Chambers enjoys traveling , and dreams of building a clinic through her non-profit organization, N.I.A.: Nurses in Africa.When she is not working, she enjoys dancing, traveling, and exploring new cultures and parts of the world.

Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer of J&R Primary Care Hospital at Badore-Ajah, Lagos. Prior to current position as Co-Owner of the hospital Mrs. Baruwa had over 8 years’ experience working in one of the top HMOs in the company in Nigeria (Total Health Trust) in Case Management department and moved up to become the Head of Claims administration whose activities include management of claims assessor team; set goals and objective of the department that encompass the company vision and goals) with over thirty-five years’ experience in high-profile, challenging positions in corporate, human and material management and seasoned entrepreneur. Worked locally and internationally as a consultant to various medical and health insurance firms. Previously, I served as President of Health Care Two Corporation. I have successfully led and marketed expertise to the health care industry Washington, DC and metropolitan area in the form of healthcare, consulting, training and management services. I have also successfully gathered, analyzed and evaluated information and applied medical/nursing concepts and principles identifying and solving problems and made recommendations and/or decisions. I have extensive medical/project and hands-on experience in acute and critical medical evaluations, conducting acute care trainings, and testing procedures with state art equipment.
